BTP is the selected platform that the EMA use for integration to and between SAP products, as well as for the extract and orchestration of data in preparation for business intelligence tools (via Datasphere). The Identity Services for many SAP products also rely of the BTP platform for their configuration, for example for the single sign-on to SuccessFactors.
The EMA originally used BTP following the adoption of the SuccessFactors platform to manage the integration and identity services for that platform. Subsequently the BTP platform has been used as the solution for the integration needs for the New Fee Regulation, linking the Agency core-based applications, mainly IRIS and SIAMED, with the SAP FIN configuration item for the fee generating procedure types.
Further the Agency has used the platform, specifically the BuildApps function, to provide a website for the learning solution access and communication with external stakeholders.
